If you have friends that would be interested in something like this please spread the word and point them to this thread on EJ:
Gold DKP Runs
From that post:
Heres the GDKP concept in a nutshell:
- GDKP stands for "Gold-DKP". It can also be known by similar names such as "Gold runs", "GKP runs", "Cash runs".
- It was a Korean concept brought to WoW. It's been around for years on
some servers and regions, recently becoming common on other servers,
and still completely unheard of on others. The naming convention of the
concept might vary slightly between server/region.
- Items which drop in your run are auctioned off in raid chat. The
highest bidder receives the item and the gold they pay is added to "The
Pot"
- Profession Patterns, BOE's, Crusader Orbs etc are all auctioned off in this manner as well. Everything that drops.
- The pot keeps growing in value until the end of the run
- The pot is split evenly at the end of the run to all 25 players in the raid present when the final boss dies.
- There is no mainspec > offspec priority, its gold which determines who gets what.
****RULES UPDATED***
Minimum
bid is 200g for armor, 1000g for weapons, 1500g for a trophy and 5000g
for a trinket. Bidding increases with 100g increments.
When
you sign-up you need to declare how much money you have to spend and at
least one item you want OR that you are coming to ensure the run is a
success and don't need anything. Civilian mains that still need
loot from normal 25 man that plan to come to this raid should bring
enough cash to be competitive on the items they need or come on their
main to a non-GDKP run for the drops.
This is the rules I will be spamming in raid chat.
Welcome to Civilian's weekly GDKP run. All items (Including BOE's, enchant mats, Orbs)
that drop will be auctioned off to the highest bidder and the gold pot
will be split evenly 25 ways at the end of the run.
Raid members will only receive their share of the gold pot if they are
present in the raid when the final boss dies, no exceptions.
In the event a player is AFK for an extended period without notice - or
performs poorly - a fair warning will be given, but they may be removed
from the raid and/or forfeit their share of the pot if it continues.
Minimum bid is 200g for armor, 1000g for weapons, 1500g for a trophy
and 5000g for a trinket. Bidding increases with 100g increments.
If any of this is unclear or you have questions, please speak up now.
