Who Am I: Neil. I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I'm a pilot flying Piper Navajos for CargoJet based out of Halifax servicing major points throughout the Atlantic provinces. My schedule is mostly Tuesday and Thursday from 4am AEST to 9pm AEST. In server talk that's 12am server to 5pm server. My raiding 'black spots' are Mon and Wed evenings, due to my early starts in the morning.
Hardware/Internet: I
have a Pentium 4, 3.2 GHz comp with 2 gb RAM. I also have a toshiba
satellite notebook in case things head south with my desktop. My
connection is 54 Mbps high speed wireless internet through Eastlink.
Armory: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Bonechewer&n=Shimegi
Spec: Currently 55/0/16
for raiding. I've been learning a lot since running with Civ and welcome any feedback to squeeze more DPS out. I've also recently dual specced and am curious to see if destro works better for me or not.
Professions: I'm a tailor and enchanter (443 and 431 respectively). One for me and one for you is how I look at it. As a few of you already know, I'm never too busy to meet up and enchant gear for you.It works for both of us
Guild/Raiding History: Since joining up with Civ in January, I've got a dose of how a good guild is run. I'm impressed with the quality of players, the leadership they're getting, and the reputation the guild has with others. As far as raiding history goes; pretty much everything except Ulduar, which I've run only once with a PuG. We went as far as XT-002 before people started leaving. I've researched the fights.
My Alts: Icarrus, 80 holy pally
Why I Am Applying to Civilian: In this case, it's 'why am I reapplying?' Over the past few months I've realised I can offer the guild more of my time and would like to be more involved in raiding and guild runs. Gurruk has mentioned several times to me that nobody knows me that well and that's something I'd like to change. Basically I have more to offer the guild and I'm here to up my game.
Why Civilian Should Want Me: I like to think
I'm a valuable member of a team or raid. I don't bring stress to the
table, I strive to put out the most DPS possible and research it on WoW
and EJ sites to see if I can improve it. I'm reliable, I know my flight
schedule a month in advance, and bring a little well-timed humour in as
well. I'm always on time or early for raids and come fully equipped
with the potions and food necessary.
What I Need To Improve: My views of what to improve on have greatly changed since my initial application with Civ. The guild has certainly highlighted areas I can improve on and I take every bit seriously and try to have it improved for my next log-on. I can improve on gear knowledge and increasing my DPS.
The Hardest Lesson I Learned In WoW:
WoW is
an addictive game. The hardest lesson I learned in WoW was learning how
to step away from it and enjoy a day without it.
My Role in Raiding: As a warlock I have several roles. DPS is of course my main role, but
as a utility class I'm also responsible for HS, SS, and summoning. as a
CC class, I'm responsible for banishing, enslaving, seducing and
fearing. I also bring my culinary expertise to the table for buffs, and
enchanting for the raid on request.
My Favorite Raid Bosses: I think the dance is up there with my favourites. Seeing everyone running across the room at the mercy of lava and timing is entertaining. The best part about it is you're completely in charge of your destiny. If you die you have nobody to blame but yourself :)
