I should have posted this here earlier, but the Horde winner was Scientology of <ChineseFarmTeam>. We'll be running Black Temple with Scientology this Tuesday, and I'll post with the report (and loot list).

How the raffle works

I've gotten a lot of questions about exactly how this works, so let me give an example. Let's say only 3 people enter the contest:

Alpha does the quest on 5 different days and submits 5 screenshots all at once.
Beta does the quest twice on his main and once on his alt, and submits 3 screenshots.
Delta submits just one screenshot.

Since Alpha submitted 5 at once he gets one "freebie" for a total of 6. His 6 plus Beta's 3 plus Delta's 1 totals up to 10. So now the judge (Azurai from VM in this case) rolls 1-10: 1-6 Alpha is the winner, 7-9 Beta is the winner, and on a 10 Delta is the winner.

So even if you just enter once it's possible for you to win, but the more you enter the better your chances.

Race for the Gem Vendor

Civilian is pleased to announce that the contest to finish the gem vendor is open to Horde. Vis Maior is offering a prize of a loot run through Black Temple to alliance who help finish the alchemy lab by doing the daily quest Discovering Your Roots. We've spoken with VM and said that if they open the contest to Horde and pick one winner from each faction we will deliver the Horde Prize.

See the original VM post on the Bonechewer forums for details and rules. The gist of it is that you enter the contest by submitting screenshots of yourself turning in the quest. Each submission is like one raffle ticket; the more you enter, the better your chance of winning. After you turn in the quest, type "/played" and then take a screenshot showing both the quest completion and the time stamp:

Mail screenshot entries to vmcontest@gmail.com (make sure to read the entire VM post and follow the rules exactly). VM will randomly draw winners the day after the gem vendor opens. Like VM, we reserve the right to certain rare pieces of loot, but much of it will be available. The winner will definitely get first crack at Tier 6 tokens (shoulders, legs, chest) provided that the correct ones drop.

Clarification: The winner is not whoever does the quest (and turns in the screenshot) the most times. Think of it like a raffle: one winning ticket will be drawn, but each time you do the quest is like buying another raffle ticket. Do the quest more times to increase your chances of winning.

Please read and follow all instructions on this page and on VM's post. If you actually do everything correctly you probably stand a good chance of winning, because most people are going to skim the rules and get disqualified as a result.
